Who said you need oak to make great wine? Amazing Albariño aged 3 years in steel.

Quite a unique Albariño, which is bottled 6 years after harvesting, and at its full potential after 8 years, but can be kept for 15-20 years. Almost like a GG Riesling, and tastes in the middle of a Burgundy and a GG Riesling in terms of complexity and length. There is freshness through some citrus, grapefruit and white flowers. Extraordinary wine!

This wine really opened up since my last try 2 years ago!
Lemoncurd, white pepper, sereh, ginger, saffron, vanilla, oak and a lovely savory note of wet wool and seaweed. Unusual concentration and creaminess for an albarino. But.... Variety typical acidity - bracing, electric and refreshing - is available in spades.
Terrific wine and a great pairing with a classic carbonara and asparagus...!

Pale golden in colour.
Shy nose, bright acidity and a saline, stony minerality on the palate.
Lemon juice, starfruit, some green herbs, seabreeze, wet pebbles. Actually, this shows very young, nervous and tight and IMHO it could use a tad more charm, rondeur, richesse. Maybe some extra cellartime will do the trick..?

Absolutely blew me away. This is stunning in all the right places and has brilliant acidity and fruit to match to let this wine continue to develop and improve over the next 10+ years no problem, but it's so good now, why wait?

Pazo de Señorans Selección de Añada 2008. Un pelín menos complejo que el 2007, pero en todo caso, un albariño excepcional.
