Dark with a dense ruby core. Carrying a bouquet of plum, cherry, clove and tobacco. Medium bodied, elegant with balanced acidity and a beautiful freshness. It opens with blueberry pie, plum, black cherry and mint. The finish lingers with hints of Bay and graphite.

Stoic and utterly profound, this wine is an infant, but demonstrates incredible promise. Togni is a master, having crafted the 1969 Chappellet - likely the best wine I’ve ever tasted. His daughter Lisa holds the reigns now, and continues her family label’s string of excellence. “Old School”

Deep and dark ruby red with a garnet hue on the edges. Dark spices on the nose with black cherries and dark floral notes. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Very dark palate with a savory touch, notes of bramble berries, graphite, earthy and minerality. Solid minerality throughout the long finish too. Rather approachable for a Togni but not as much as a few weeks ago, seems like it might be closing down for a little bit. Would leave for a couple years before trying again. Drink till 2040. (93+)

Exceptionally beautiful, precise and persistent. Great purity of fruit. Subtle and refined to the core.

Deep and dark ruby red. Muted nose, can definitely see the youth in this wine, notes of red mountain berries with some light spices and bark. Heavy tannins (8/10) hit rear palate and full bodied. Layers of red berries, pencil shavings, earthiness, and some spices. Rich and great texture. Drink from 2018 till 2043. (93+)

Slightly bitter but inviting aromas of coffee grounds. Wonderfully balanced palate with dark chocolate and rioe black cherry flavors streaked with saline and peppery notes. Apprpriate grippy tannin keeps it all in check and adds a subtle leathery note on the finish.

Impressive structure, balance and overall impact. Showing amazingly well for a young Togni Estate Cab.

One of my favorite Spring Mountain producers. Philip and Lisa do an incredible job with their wines. As you know a 2014 still has 20-30 more years to go but we certainly still enjoyed it now!

Nice Napa wine, normally don’t like Califonia wine because too sweet. This is drinking beautifully!

Moody adolescent- much promise and plenty of delivery after an hour of air. Excellent balance and thankfully not overblown. Dark fruit some classic cassis and hints of great things to come.
