Philippe Bornard
Arbois Pupillin Melon à Queue Rouge

Cleaner than last bottle I've had which v.a levels were through the roof. Interesting texture and fruit profile.

Apr 26th, 2017This is the wine that changed my entire perspective of wine, I believe that was the 2008 but extremely pleased to revisit it in its 2012 form. Melon que rouge may be close to Chardonnay but it certainly shares some Savagnin characteristics as well, Bornard's even reminds me of Chenin particularly with a few years of bottle age that this one has. Impeccable, crystal clear fruit, luxurious texture, acid is minimal but perfectly in harmony. Long finish. Out of this world.
