Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey
Le Trezin Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay
Puligny-Montrachet, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
2010, this fresh Puligny Montrachet is a great companion for a summer dinner. It has light gold color, a mineral nose, with hint of smoked barrel , citrus and pineapple, a full fresh yet creamy body, fresh vibrant acidity, a long rich finish. A pleasure. My score 89, drink 2015 to 2021 perhaps longer.

Still some oak lingering on this 8 years on, but it’s by no means at the forefront. It is, however surprisingly still fresh, vibrant, and extremely mineral. The oak balances that vibrancy by lending a sort of herbal, vanillin sweetness. Lovely.

Aug 5th, 2018Excellent tension and richness on the nose. Flint, smoke, dense yellow and white fruit. Was told this was like Coche with more precision and I agree. Loads to come.
