Tasted blind I was hesitating calling this a malbec from Argentina but didn't have enough experience with tannat otherwise. It's a deep dark purple color that just barely lightens to a ruby at the rim. There is, surprisingly, a good amount of complexity on the nose and palate, from baked and dried fruits on the former to tart and ripe fruits on the latter. There's mocha and coffee beans and vegetal peppers and that's just on the forefront. The tannins are present but soften after some time open.

Enjoyable! I love Tannat when not overpowering or over the top. Much more interesting that 2010 vintage.

Need to be decanted. Took a while to open up. Light fruit notes. Earthy with dark coco notes

This is only the second Tannat I’ve ever had and it good but not great. Missing some finer complexity to the wine but I was grateful to find it in the “other reds” section.

My first Tannat and I really enjoyed it. Full-bodied with medium tannins. Dark fruit on the front end but has earth and spice on the mid-palate which creates a nice balance. Nice long finish with some spice. Give it a couple hours to open up.
