Insanely dry and tannic. Dark in the glass too. Could almost chew the finish. Charcoal smoke, dusted blackberries, violets, potpourri and underripe plum. Hold. I called this mid-late ‘00s left bank Bordeaux.

A hint of bitterness on the back palate initially but that resolved after about an hour of air to show smoothed out tannins with subdued dark berry flavors, Italian herbs and earth .. quite enjoyable!

Nice offering. Super tight and big at first but after some work blossomed into a winner. Can certainly stand up to many more years in the cellar.
