Really no need to write this up because it's one of my go-to's. I guess i haven't posted 2019 on Delectable, but it's always consistent and it's just right with my skirt steak and chimichurri. Yeah, it's 50 degrees out so I fired up the grill! Happy Valentine's, my loves!

Great wine. So well balanced. Needed to be decanted. Fruit, leather, herbs. Great with food. — 22 days ago

Velvety tannins, good length, light body but balanced. — 19 days ago
Paolo Bea dinner at Semo. All wines were prepared by opening and slow-ox, prior to service. Abbreviated notes due to the setting. The 2017 Pipparello pours a garnet color with funky Montmorency cherry, red carnations, and balsamic notes. Wonderful structure and delicious with the quail. Drink now with patience through 2037. I’m coming around to BdMs. This was high-toned sweet on mid-palate. Fine finish. — a month ago

The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Red cherry and earth notes finishing with powdery tannins. Coming together. — 17 days ago
