Nice. Classic. Smooth and elegant - still with some racy grip on the palate. Super long finish. Drinking really well. — 16 days ago
Dried fruit, dark cherry, even prune. A distinct difficult note, perhaps tobacco or leather. Bright acid, moderate tannin, maybe too bright — 4 days ago
The 2017 was opened for a quick glass, and then gassed for overnight storing. Day 2: It has an engaging ruby/garnet color, perfumed red/blue aromatics, and confirming red/blue fruit flavors. Solidly structured and well balanced with crisp acidity and soft mouth coating tannins at the satisfying finish. Irrespective of vintage, Bucerchiale never fails to deliver, always showing well above its price point. The 2017 vintage is no different. — 16 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours and this gained momentum as the minutes rolled by. The 2016 “San Valentino” pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: black berries, black plum, Morello cherry, spiced meat, old wood, varnish, cumin and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, tangy and slightly savory. These are showing very well at this stage and I don’t expect that to change for many years to come. Drink now with patience (perhaps even a 30min decant) and through 2036. — 10 days ago
Deep ruby color, leaning toward garnet.
Aromas of dark fruit, herbs.
Dry. Flavors of black fruit, chalk, peppercorn, lavender, smoke, dried herbs, licorice,. Rich, chewy tannins. Tasty, but will improve by waiting another 5 to 10 years (and more!).

Dark cherry, cinnamon, whiffs of licorice, sweet tobacco. Elegance from an excellent year. — 18 days ago

Tasted blind . Medium deep , garnet core , garnet rim . Quite sweet spiced nose , slightly deeper cherry , riper slightly less fresh . Black tea . On the palate this is deeper and richer , more extracted in style . Darker cherry , blackberry , quite high acidity but slightly drying tannins . This is quite intense and with lots of presence, reasonably long , dry spice , dried dark cherry finish . Really quite young . Needs more time , better in 3-5 years and will last well a further 5-10 — 7 days ago
