Portlandia Vintners
Oregon Pinot Noir

This Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is drinking well after aging for the past ~5 years. Begins with exceedingly earthy aromas of forest floor, mushroom & notes of dried cherry. Once allowed to decant (1+ hour) the fruit becomes more apparent on the nose & the palate wirh cherry & pomegranate flavors along with some surprisingly grippy tannins & a cola note on a relatively quick finish. Paired wonderfully with a charcuterie & cheese board! ($16) [7/29/21]

Dark Pinot Noir with quite a bit of oak in the back. Im guessing it is clone 777 in it. Lots of dark cherry and berries flavors with spice.

Color of light ruby, raspberry, clear and bubbly. Nose of fresh berry note, earthy and chalky, and some strength of alcohol. Taste of wet mushroom, berries, vivid acidity, zesty, and a bit stringy note. Quite average Pinot while the acidity and alcohol note are a bit too strong for me.
