This is why I buy burgundy - wow. So happy to find 6 more w/solid provenance after opening this bottle. PNP and it still outdid the Faiveley with a 3 hour decant. Faiveley was also fantastic.

Red cherries, rhubarb, cranberries, ashtray, cinder, clove, vanilla bean. Rounded acidity/savory velvet tannins, medium bodied, silky texture, long smoky/earthy finish. Fresh and approachable despite it's 17 years old. Bulletproof, has the structure to age at least another 20 years. No need to decant.

Pretty good for an old Burg - lots of bright red fruit, minimal terroir (dirt and barn). Described as a very "pretty" wine. Paired great with pizza.
