Really good meaty funk. I've heard the term "backward wine" and I didn't know what it meant until now. I tasted the funk b4 the fruit but still had nice fruit. Supposedly this is a characteristic of some very well regarded Washington syrahs. I dig it, good stuff.

Very impressive for its moderate alcohol, gamey aromatics and flavor profile with a moderate price point when compared to many northern Rhône Syrahs.
