See previous notes. They still apply. A fragrant medium weight red wine where the small amount of Viognier plays its role with the red fruited aromatics. Amazing that a $30 wine would win the Trevor Mast Trophy for best Shiraz at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Wine Show. Tasted my last one on 24th November 2021. Aromas of bacon and bacon fat like you see in many Northern Rhone Syrahs. Still amazed that a $30 wine could win the Best Shiraz Trophy at Royal Melbourne. Must look for future vintages of this wine.

Quite dense crimson in colour. Very spicy nose with meaty notes. Silky graphite like tannins. More savoury spicy than fruity on the medium weight palate. Great conditions in the Yarra Valley in 2015. The winner of the Trevor Mast Trophy for Best Shiraz and also Trophy for best single vineyard wine at the Royal Melbourne Wine Awards in 2016. Amazing QPR at only $30. Will go on for 5+ years at least with the structure it has. Have 2 bottles left.

Dark crimson with youthful purple tinges. Primary nose of raspberry spice and pepper. On the palate same delicious spice and pepper with good body and weight. As good as it is now it will be better with cellaring. From the near perfect growing season in the Yarra in 2015 it has a 1.5% splash of Viognier co-fermented with the Shiraz. 20% whole bunches. This Wine won the Trevor Mast Trophy for Best Shiraz at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show in 2016 and also the Best Single Vineyard Wine. At only $30 a bottle and a limit of 6 bottles it flew out the door and I was lucky to get a 6 pack back in October 2016.
