Needs a good decanting. You will be rewarded in letting this wine sit and come into itself. Plenty of life to this North Coast Syrah. Parmalee Hill is normally my go-to vineyard from Ram's Gate for Syrah but this was a rewarding new study for local Syrah. Great concentration and finesse shows through when given due patience.

Fall 2015 pickup. Notes-- nose: baking vanilla, graphite and black peppercorn, then bacon, dried rose petal, oak spice. Full bodied mouthfeel with worn leather, black cherry juice. Have with braised lamb, flat iron steak or hearty stew. Drink now through 2022
