So very 'Raul' for me. Deeply colored, still purple. Nose of dark cherries, savoury wood, bitter chocolate. On the palate this is firm, drying, quite long and what I would call nobly bitter. Not for everyone as the texture of this wine seems more important that the aromas. I believe this will repay time in the cellar.

Terrific value here. Young. Lots of life left on this guy. Medium. Good balance and acidity.

Floral, gamey, and smokey. Nicely balanced acidity. Was a bit funky when first opened, but opened up nicely after a few hours.

Mar 31st, 2017Loved this. A full bouquet of roses and citrus and red fruit and sweet spice. Assertive on its own gentle with pork. Well balanced.
