Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend

Hell ya ripassos. I don't think I've ever had one. Strange to find out spent grape skins add such dry decadence. Because this wine is dry but rife with blackberries, black cherries and chocolate. Tannins are slight which is funny considering it was soaked on skins. But I guess because they were spent it is a different story. The finish lingers on and on and I am now so curious to try more ripassos.

Nice acidity, slight pepper and berries.

Simply excellent from beginning to end. Like floating on a lazy river--no highs or lows. Loved it!

Lush burnished bright fruit with nice complexity and medium finish.
