Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

This is Rex Hill not Elk Cove...smoky on the nose, nicely restrained fruit, but a little too acidic for my taste - maybe needs to sit longer? Opened an hour early but still plenty of sparkle

Good fruit

Smooth, good flavor balance, not weak as some Pinot’s can be.

I just realized that I have not had an Oregon Pinot for some time when I opened the bottle, but this is not what Willamette PN I have in mind. Nice mix of fresh red fruits and ripe black fruits. Bright acidity but feels a bit caramelized on the palate. Lacking the minerality and toasty notes I was looking for. A nice Pinot nevertheless.

Started good with cherries and raspberries bouquet. Dissipated fast.

Balanced of fruit, round tannin & acidity. Long finish.

Great Pinot on our last night in San Diego for spring break. Only dinner we spent at the Airbnb.

Solid and drinkable.

First impression: raspberries bouquet. Next impression: too tannic! Not ready yet.

This is a very fine Pinot. Blackberry and dark cherry notes. Loved it.
