Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Black currant, black raspberry, gentle earthiness, black pepper, and slight star anise at the end. Lovely example of a Willamette Pinot. Medium to full body with medium tannins. Performed even better after decanting.

Medium ruby-purple color.
Aromas of blackberry compote, anise.
Dry. Flavors of fresh ripe blackberry, soft anise. Medium, velvety tannins. Very dark flavors for a Pinot.

Embarrassingly brought this to a wine tasting. Very oaky, burnt oak dominated the aroma. Hints of black cherry, juicier body and a black tea like finish. Once I got used to the oak, more flavor came out that reminded me of black currant and pomegranate. It’s okay but not worth the price

This wine needs to breathe! First taste when opened not that impressive. After an hour much better & tasted well 2 days later. Would buy again.
