HWT - $110 Delicious, would def get again if on a power buy for $60 or less, it was that good. Delicious with red sauce/pasta

Dark garnet colored with a slight brick colored meniscus on the edges. Dark fruit, cedar, black olives and leather on the nose. Bold tastes of black plums, figs, cherry cola, and licorice wrapped in silky tannins and perfect acidity. A great finish. Kudos to my friend Steve Reynolds for making such an unbelievably great wine. This wine is not showing any signs of letting up. A true heavyweight Cabernet at a great price.

I want to rate this wine higher as it is a solid wine. I only had 1 hour to decant before serving. I aerated four times. Being from the legendary '12 vintage it's a brooding wine with loads of tannins and fruit wanting to bubble up to the forefront. The tannins blocked the fruit of this πŸ‘ΆπŸ» wine. However, the wine was complex with graphite and lead being rounded out by cassis. The finish was long the flavors just need more bottle age to develop. In 5-8 years I expect this wine to be closer to a 9.6-9.7 once we are done with the shy phase.
