Very nice Zinfandel - complete and complex

Impossible not to have a glass of red wine with a crazy NY strip from Fleisher's in park slope. All fruit all the time.

Big wine with a nice dose of petite sirah.

Enjoyed tonight. The QPR on these Ridge wines consistently win for me. This one was no exception. Popped and poured. Could have used an hour of air to be a little more integrated, but pretty darn good and consistent as a pop and pour. The palate is dark, fig jam, black pepper, robust dark fruit. The entry of this wine has a raspberry note for a tiny bit, but I think the 24% PS covers up the 76% Zin just a wee bit. Dark, black and jammy front and middle. Shoe leather and almost a darker meaty kind of note. Finished with a black pepper spice but more of a sweet tobacco and fig note. The finish was a little better with food which had a tendency to kind of cut down the ending's more acidic components.

Easy to drink, not very acidic. Goes great with steaks!!

Zing! Good din. Not too spicy, touch of Syrah like dark ruby fruit. Yum

Loads of red fruits. A bit of baking spice (and everything nice).

Big fruit, dried strawberry, with a long, spiced finish.

Fruit fruit fruit. And acid.
