Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend

Still alive from half bottle, but a lot more tar and savory than normal 750mls of geyserville of this age. Cassis and cigar box on the pallet.

Tasted alongside a 1/2 bottle of '91 Lytton Springs. This was brooding, meaty, and riper. It was the big brother, perhaps a little bit of a meathead but sweet underneath. I think the Petite Sirah makes a big difference.

Dark, rich fruit, ripe and spicy! Love it.

Phenomenon. This wine tastes like current vintage. Not sure they will continue to develope like this. But, wow

I've had it in my cellar for 15 years... Shoulda drank it 5 years ago. Plummy and raisiny with not much acidity left

Lovely nose;licorice and sugar plums. Supple and evolved, evocative of Port, but fresh. 'Lish

Just lovely: fruit cake, mocha, chilled out tannins, and a little dust. For a '91 50% zin this is showing and drinking beautifully. And who says well made zin can't age?!
