Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Balanced, long acid, vanilla, blueberries, oak. Still a baby

One of my all time favorite California reds. That signature of American oak always stands out.

Brought by a friend, PnP. Dark purple tawny. Opaque. Great young fruit nose. Notes of fresh berries.. blueberries, blackberries and a little bing cherry. Plus some cassis, dark chocolate, moist forest floor and some stones and herbs. Young and luscious in the mouth. Palate staining but in no way harsh or over the top. Great balance. Lots of upside to this over the next couple of decades.

Works every time. So fresh and youthful. 13.5% alc. Always a great pleasure to try a Monte Bello. Didn’t drink enough to admire all the layers, but it’s gonna be a firecracker.

Tastes weird. Kind of tart and fruity. Very young obviously 14 vintage Monte bello

Tannic as hell! Restraint, concentrated, bursting earth and wild flavors. Total baby but still approachable.

Lovely silky texture. Great time to drink.

Nose to die for.
