Reserva Valle del Maipo Syrah

Not my favorite I would not have chosen it but my dad liked it for some reason. I would have never guessed Syrah.

Good wine. Full body and flavor.

First Chilean Syrah. Inky dark purple. Ripe blueberry and cocoa. Decent for $9

Night 1: Sulfur, SO2, burnt match, more SO2, and so on. Blind I probably would have said Chile, but would have no idea what varietal. Thin, high-toned, and herbal, and covered in sulfur.
Night 2: The wine finally decided to show up... added weight and complexity, cranberry fruit and caramel in the mid palate.

Acidic, not much character. Not a fan.

Nice 2009 Syrah for the money. Light tannins and smooth overall. Turns out this was was a great Costco impulse buy. Enjoyed in 2016.

Bought this for the first time at Costco for a very reasonable price. Happily satisfied with it and will purchase it again, but I see on here that is sold out. CRAP!!!!

Really enjoyed this wine. Can't beat the price at Costco. Bought a case
