This may actually be my first off dry Chenin Blanc from Loire Valley. 11.5% alcohol. Ripe honeydew melon, green apple, and kiwi. Lovely minerality. An easy summer sipper.

Jul 3rd, 2018Thin gold. Entrancing saccharine aroma of honey, pear, lychee and tropical blossoms, with a well balanced mineral. Tart, but with noticeable sugar as well, making for a pretty full mouthfeel like an inexpensive Riesling. As it warms up, tropical and floral notes develop in the palate. It's too much on its own--too much sweetness and a grabby lingering tartness, but this was nice with hibachi.
