Burgundy color with slightly heavy brown note. Sweet nose of opulent dried apricot, ripe grapes, hot but round spices, some pinot-noir-like wet mushroom, touch of raspberries and cedar wood, and anise. Taste simply confirms the notes of noses with some more creamy vanilla, caramel, and sugary fruit. Aftertaste of some bitter zest, touch of chocolate, herbs, low tannins and ready to drink now. A nice smooth treat and high quality merlot, especially at this price range.
