More then an honour to enjoy the 1999 Schubert Cabernet Franc from New Zealand. Telling thousand of stories. Opened the wine to a great time for my impression but still well drinkable for some more years. Ripe fruit and little acidity for freshness then lots of savoury characters, pepper, spices, lovage, gamy and earthy notes. Perfect harmony, warm, welcoming, lots of structure and a good amount of fine tannins. The stories still do not end... long lasting finish... great, first class wine making...
