I love Seavey wines and think their Merlot is one of the best in Napa. Deep red with a slightly brown/orange rim. The nose is beautiful and I'm hit right away with cherry compote and brioche (which to me is odd for a red). The entry is silky smooth and fruit-driven with flavors of blueberries and cherries. Soft tannins and medium acidity balance out the wine for a long finish.
