Sonoma County Old Vine Zinfandel

Too big for me these days

That stewed character I get with Zinfandel right there, preserve blackberry and plum, whisky lactobes and char. High alcohol.

Bold blackberry and strawberry jam with baking spice, good acidity, coupled with a lingering, fruity finish.

Fantastic. Rich and velvety with cracked black pepper, blackberry and tobacco flavors. Smooth and supple tannins. Worth the premium over the Sonoma County? No. But I stole this and got a couple bottles for the same price so it was an easy decision.

Full bodied, mildly dry, soft. Black cherries and plums. Solid Zinfandel, especially at this price.

Full bodied Zinfandel with a nice finish.

Good wine.
