Yet another wonderful Sardinian choice. I prefer cannonau but this carignano has blackberry notes with a smokiness. Went well with lasagna. 14.5% alc by vol. $13 at my local shop.

Nov 25th, 20182014 version is fantastic with nuances of oak and enough spice to make it interesting. Drank it with grilled lamb. Very refined. One of the best wines I’ve had from Sardinia

May 23rd, 2018Dark fruits with medium acidity. Held up well against Italian food (some of the best meatballs I’ve ever had! And pasta dishes with ragu of beef and chicken). A happy compromise for my love of bright acidic reds and B’s desire for a weighty Cab
