Full but restrained. The vineyard does most of the hard work on this wine and the result is graceful and mouthwatering.

Leaner than most from this spot, and I like that! Pure cut, fruit in the background, nice acidity and a hint of rocks.

Super balanced, on the lean side of meduim, showing great strength in acidity and tannins. Firm but also open. Nice.

Some placed in Burgundy, some placed in New Zealand. Sometimes the new world fruit flashes, but generally it is a little more reserved than usually which seems typical of this vintage. It's quite enjoyable.

Shea is such a wonderful place, the producer is great too. Deep red fruit, long mid palate, gently warming with soothingly spicy wood and notes of the earth from which it came. Very pleased.

Shea is the man. I prefer his "Homer" slightly to this bottle, but this was excellent + salmon w/ pinot noir salt...

2011 was a cold year but Shea always seems to get very ripe fruit. 13% alcohol and very light in color, but still has a med+ body. Great fruit and herbal notes, loved this wine...
