Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir
Another great 2012. Touch of earth, mushroom, orange peal. Bright acidity. Good when you open it, but decant and it gets to be incredible.

Jan 10th, 2016We drank the 2005 St. Innocent Temperance Hill Pinot Noir on the same evening to compare it with the 2012. The '05 has more nuanced layers and aromatics at this stage, but the 2012 shows considerable promise as well. Black raspberry and black cherry aromas lead into fragrant lavender, anise and crushed stones. On the palate, this fresh and lively Pinot boasts ample concentration and structure, with a buttery, toasty note on the backend along with baking spices and dried herbs. This should evolve nicely with time and patience.

Aug 30th, 2014Seductively mushroomy. Started off a little bit closed but really blossomed. Pomegranate, red apple, cherry, some charcoaly ember thing. Unctuous is the right word, but it’s not at all burdensome. Drinking beautifully but maybe should have held on

Aug 21st, 2016Deep burgundy color. Loads of licorice on the nose. Starts light red fruit, then again with the licorice, and ends with some burgundy funk. Love me some Oregon Pinot. Back on the horse.
