This is the second of two versions of the Great Pretender and while I didn’t like either, this is the lesser offender.
In the good vs evil battle for Syrah it’s the violets vs. the black markers. When the Sharpies win, we lose.
This fella has a little of both. At first clunky and disjointed but improves by day 3.
Some pretty notes - flowers, black olives, black peppercorn, black plums full of hope, they crunch up on the swallow.
