Stonier
Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay
Always such a pleasing Chardonnay. Nose strays towards atypical tropical notes of melon and quince from this year that saw a hot end to vintage. But the palate has the usual restrained generosity, with purpose. That purpose seems to be drinkability and the oak (very little new French and quite a large proportion of puncheons) and malo (40%) work perfectly. Great structure and with slight softness that does't deny a certain crispness to the finish. V good.
