The 2010, 2013 & 2015 all went well with the lobster, thanks to Cathy.

Oct 6th, 2019Beautiful color. Light and bright. Yellow apple, pear, mealy mellow stone fruits. Low acid when cold, more acidic when room temp. A light creamy flavor when chilled, not so creamy at room temp. Delicious.

Jan 1st, 2019We served a magnum of this with seafood next to a magnum of Rombauer, so folks could have a two very clear and contrasting choices. Stony Hill Chardonnay is in many ways the anti-Rombauer: steel tanks instead of oak, crisp and clean instead of round and buttery, a food wine meant to be paired instead of a solo act. Nicely balanced with notes of apple, grapefruit and minerals. Bought this magnum at a St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels fundraiser at Petrossian Restaurant and enjoyed it a few weeks later at the Water Grill in downtown LA at a festive retirement dinner.
