Lacks the freshness I expected. Aggressive dirt-like astringency; I love the green earthiness of, say, chinon, but this tastes like iron enriched drought-stricken suffering soil. Not my thing. Prefer a much lighter tough in trepat. Almost has piedmontese attitude, without the grace.

Olive and red licorice nose. Cherry for days with a mineral underpinning and juicy tannins. Really good with steak tips. Def a fresh turned earth quality
