Suertes del Marqués
Trenzado Listán Blanco Blend
My first wine from the Canary Islands. Made from the Listan Blanco grape otherwise known as Palomino in Spain. Quite developed looking (mid gold) for a 2014 wine. Similar notes to a Chardonnay in some respects but on the palate quite textural with a fuller mouth feel as one gets with Mediterranean whites. Despite all this noticeable acid on the sides of the tongue. Probably a better summer wine.

Jul 13th, 2016Fino style of Palomino from the Canary Islands, Tenerife. And terrific. Saline, nutty, nose of just roasted buttered popcorn, good acid towing it along.
