Bright copper orange. Shy nose and medium palate of melon, baked quince, and spice. Medium plus acidity (it’s Friuli after all) and a wee pot of tannin on the medium long finish. MJB has brought us a wonderful northeastern Italian Ramato style PG that should appeal to everyone from casual drinkers to wine nerds. At home as a sipper, but will shine with a rich meal. Roast chicken, Bronzino, and a host of vegetable dishes will pair nicely. Drink now through 2023.

Okay considering I’m not a big Pinot Grigio fan. More mineral than anything. Peachy color, high alcohol on the palate, a little floral and no fruit.

Went back to the Sun Goddess well, and no hateration to MJB but it didn’t hold up as well as the memory. A little too fruity and was market-corrected by the rosé of the same Pinot Gris grape consumed just prior.

Copper toned, Mineral, straw, fennel on nose, Clean mineral upfront, peach skins, tea tannin. 12.5% ABV
Very nice, clean mineral wine with light stone fruit notes and savory tannin aspect, better on lighter side of chilled.
