Gorgeous texture - silky with beautiful berry and floral notes. Great acidity and faint tannins.

This wine has such an amazing balance between the fruit, floral, and savory (from stems? From oak? Must look up) components, I must admit I'm a fan of sylvie Esmonin--this is quite similar to the cote de nuits villages I've and before. With the right pairing (savory meats) this reveals some deep and dark red cherries, but also has a toasted-kernal depth that I love. This is an unmistakably savory melange of roses, cranberries, cherries, roasted cacao nibs, dry leaves, and cool damp earth. As someone who is picky about pinot, I'm not picky about this.
