We had an outstanding tasting at the winery's tasting bar in their air conditioned paradise of midsummer a month ago... Now back at home, we're getting a chance to taste these again... On the nose, this is dusty cherry... That's about it, but in a good way... On the palate, there's more... Big cherry to be sure... A wee blackberry tinge? Warm clay? Some acid here, but I keep coming back to clay, but maybe more as a visual... I don't get much if any green this vintage... The finish is medium-long and satisfying... Great pairing for our steak, chanterelles, and roast potatoes...
