Next up on my Australia's First Families of Wine Aussie Shiraz journey is the Tahbilk 2014 Shiraz. This is part of the 'Australian Shiraz Showcase' from Wine Selectors which you can read more about on the blog: travellingcorkscrew.com.au/blog/australias-first-families-of-wine

We matched this delicious little number up with some Smokey Pork Tacos 🌮 Yes this is the second time I've made this recipe in the last 2 weeks! Pork is a really good match for Shiraz I've found, and the smokey nuances in this dish really complimented the wine.

It's a deep ruby red colour in the glass with notes of cassis, violets and black pepper on the nose. That cracked black pepper flows through to the palate with plentiful notes of berries, plums and cherries 🍒. The finish is long and tannin infused. Very enjoyable.

PS: If you like white wine and haven't tried the Tahbilk Marsanne - do it now!

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine
