Coming from the spiritual home of muscat wine, Beaumes de Venise (Vaucluse), I must say that this wine is a proud expression of the grape variety. Off-dry, not floral but with the distinctive flavour profile of muscat rouge (not the characteristic muscat-des-petits-grains of southern France), this wine is simply very pleasant. I wouldn't seek to import this back to Bermuda from Kyoto, but in its own context this is a truly lovely wine.
