See previous notes 30 weeks ago. Very similar. Mid Lemon in colour. Citrus on the nose with grapefruit predominant. The palate is overall a little more lean than I would like - a little austere for a 7 year old Chardonnay - perhaps the grapes were picked a little too early? Still lively with that acid but could do with a little more mid palate fruit. Made by Brian Croser who used to be at Petaluma some years ago before he started Tapanappa in 2002 in conjunction with Bollinger and the Cazes Family of Lynch Bages in Pauillac. Brian was Decanters Man of the Year in 2004.

On the nose Lemon with just a whisper of oak. On the palate grapefruit over stone fruit with noticeable acidity. Non-intrusive winemaking from industry legend, Brian Croser. Good with fresh prawns at the Gold Coast.

Cracking Chard, little bit of zing, little bit of oak nuttiness. Just the right amount of depth.

Ticks a lot of boxes. Fruit is ripe and indicative of warm year, has some floral lift to it too along with some clovey oak at play too. Initially quite bold, but there's a purity to that acid that keeps things in check. No mlf.

Coming from a warm year, still a wine of class: vanilla oak, Wheaty and cheesy aromatics; white peach. Easily a 93+
