Elegant and earthy, with red cherry, plum, licorice spice, nary a trace of wood in this. Excellent acidity, medium grain tannin that is fine and supple, medium bodied and a medium+ finish.

Interesting wine. It breathes a very 'natural' style. Rustic but also some smooth sweetness. Licorice. Raspberry and some balsamic notes. Nutty bitters.

Cherries and berries and iron and pepper, oh my! Love mencia; this one is great with lean steak, but lacking in acid. Simple, and tasty.
