Bolgheri Red Bordeaux Blend

Huge rich red fruit, mocha powder, butter dark chocolate, black fruit, light wood / firm undercarriage of spice, oak / insanely long finish - truly long, no hyperbole. Long.

All I wrote on my tasting notes was “awesome”

Tastes like bolegnese. Meat and peppers.

I liked this more than I was prepared to.

Initial oxidized aromas blew off to reveal subtle ripe red and black fruits with violets and cigar box aromas. Firm mouth-filling chewy tannins. Delicious.

Really good wine!

Pieno,carnoso ma non grasso, ricco di profumi, lungo.

Black as ink. Couldn’t see through the side of the bottle to properly decant! Huge red wine, complex but balanced.

Smooth. Medium-full bodied. Dry and tannic. Deep and slightly fruity up front.

Another delight from Bolgheri with more red fruit than black fruit, and a tannic structure that suggests many more years in your cellar! An enjoyable bottle for sure, but the 2008 Sassicaia was noticeably better...
