Anytime drinkable, not requiring food. Bright; fruit forward but not overpowering. Tasting preparation for Italy

A 100%, single vineyard Italian Cabernet Sauvignon? Ok then. Bright ruby red with little violet tinges. The fruit on the nose is jammy and ripe. Plenty of licorice and aromatic herbs initially. A bit of tar and plum start to shine with time along with black cherries and smoke. The oak notes come on strong at first but begins to calm down and everything becomes easy and breezy and well proportioned.

Full bodied and a bit austere at times. In the good way. Aged 18 months in 100% in new French oak and six months in bottle. Silky and penetrating with harmonious balance. Tight for the first hour or so, it requires a good bit of time to fully present but when it does, this thing is rather sultry and refined. So very youthful but in a nice spot right now. Juicy red fruits and oak on the palate primarily with fresh herbs and the hint of mushrooms. Long, exquisite finish. Sit with this one for a while and give it time because the last sip is so much better than the first.
