A Nice blend from the house of Dave Matthews.
Dark Ruby in color with a light purple rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, plums, cherries, cedar, vanilla, coke, licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, Indian spices, leather, pencil lead, earth and black pepper.
Medium to full-bodied with nice acidity and long legs.
Fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, red currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, diet cola, earth and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with extremely soft tannins, tart cherries and spices.
This red blend from the North Coast of California, is now smooth and velvety, nice and balanced and very enjoyable by itself. However, it lost most of its tannins by now.
Needs only 15 minutes to open up.
I Paired it with Parmesan cheese, which was great together.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Apr 1st, 2016I had a 2017. It was really nice. But let it open up for a bit first and it’s even better. Deep fruits and smooth. Wonderful for the price point-especially with food or chocolate. Yum!
