Light, vivid red. Highly expressive, spice-tinged red fruit, incense and potpourri qualities on the seductively perfumed nose, which is given vivacity by a smoky mineral accent. Sappy, alluringly sweet and precise on the palate, offering lively cherry liqueur, raspberry and five-spice powder flavors, along with a sexy floral nuance. Fine-grained and seamless in style, finishing extremely long and pure, with sneaky power, resonating spiciness and smooth, harmonious tannins. (all neutral oak) (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2019)

Drinking a piece of history. Dirt, spice , flowers and red fruit. Still a bit tannic. Needs a couple of years to settle. 2015

Original vines from Eyrie, perhaps 60 years of age. Nothing to add to Delectables review. Magical old vines pinot filtered throug the Willamette Valley. Worth seeking out and aging. Way young now. 9.5 at least.
