Very fruity (rasberry and blackberry), medium boddied cab. Complex tannic profile with overtoans of oak. Pepper finish.
Strong scent out of the bottle overpowered by alcohol, almost like a brandy. Slowly opens up to hints of chocolate raisin

Maybe bad bottle, little musty that filled out after 2 hours in a decanter.

2004 - Still very youthful; dark ruby to purple, dense and rich with full mouthfeel, soft and plush; no hard edges. Dark fruit with anise and clove. Big finish.
