2008. Phinney-era Prisoner. Aged extremely well, which in this case means it maintained its big fruit up front while the tannins and booziness have disappeared. Our guests enjoyed the Barbaresco with dinner, but really liked the dark sweet fruits in this wine.

Mar 16th, 2023Perhaps stored too warm, perhaps needed to be cooled upon serving, perhaps not my style. I like these wines but the alcohol may be just too much. I nee to drink my vintages soon!
