Big, ripe, dark & jammy. Liqueur/port style; blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, prunes & black raspberries. Black licorice, baking spice; caramel & vanilla. Dark chocolate, some pepper, spice, dry purple florals and a long big fruit finish. Still big...it would better in another 3 years.

I've had the '12 and the '13 recently and while enjoyable, the wine is still too tannic and gripping. This '11, though a challenging vintage, has begun to express itself beautifully. This zin based wine is now displaying a ridiculous amount of fruit and the tannins take a back seat to the blueberry and spicy notes.

2011 vintage. Fruit loops on the nose, cocoa puffs on the palate, with a finish of lucky charms. I'm going to assume this used to be better.

Long time to open up, but fruity and sweet once it does. Not sure if I prefer this over cheaper blends though.
