This is a fantastic petite Sara with a great balance of acidity and tannins, with lovely notes of cherry. Full bodied without being overpowering.

Nov 4th, 2020A pretty medium garnet color with cherry accents and a wide brim. Plenty of smoke on the nose initially with oak soon joining the party. Ripe cherries and stewed plums all day on this beauty. Plenty of eastern spices and dark chocolate compliment. This is a big Petite Sirah but not one that ever gets flabby or out of control because of the finesse apparent here.
The floral accents really show on the mid palate with hints of violets throughout. Rich and savory, this is ideal for this time of year when the season starts to turn. Petite Sirah usually doesn’t come so pretty. On the palate there’s plenty of black cherry and deep dark chocolate up front with plums and more smoke. Long finish featuring warm spice and black tea. Quite the delicious effort.
