Outstanding quality for a “second” wine. Juicy black fruit character with Asian spice and lavender aromas. Approachable, easy-going style that definitely speaks of Willamette Valley volcanic basalt terroir. Quite enjoyable.

Fruit forward but also some earth. Raspberry, some strawberry. It took a little while to open. Good food wine with breaded chicken and pasta from Whole Foods. Shortish finish, but fruit lightly lingers. I prefer earthy styles.
